This book, written by Thomas, was the first book published by Future Horizons. It takes an intimate look at the life of one person with autism. It also talks about sensory dysfunction and how to overcome those problems, and it covers various common behaviors in autism and what may be causing them. Many behaviors include advice on how to deal with the them effectively.
This book took a national literary achievement award in 1994 and was promoted by Oprah Winfrey on her show in 2001. You can read a published review by clicking here and you can watch the Oprah segment by clicking here. This book will be personally autographed and mailed by Thomas.

Thomas has done numerous talks on autism and several of these talks were recorded. The CDs of some of these talks are for sale on this page.
From Inside the Autism Puzzle $5.00
Recorded in 1993 a the first
international autism conference (held in Toronto), this
is still his most popular recorded talk to date. This is what the
title says, it is a view from the inside.
Thomas speaks candidly
about growing up autistic in the 1970's when things were much different
than they are now. He talks openly about relationships and sensory
struggles and other aspects of autism.

Note that the talk occurred early in Thomas's advocacy, and at the time he was still learning how to do presentations. This may be one reason the talk is so popular. Autism is evident in the recording.

This talk first came about after Thomas was diagnosed with FMS. Lost in the fibro-fog for a while, he needed a way to do a talk that he could be sure was valid and on the right track.
So he had the idea of going back to his previous writings and doing a talk based on those. This talks looks at samples of the prior writings of Thomas, and allows the audience to see autism from a very personal perspective. This version was recorded in Roanoke, VA, in 2006.

Thomas owns some high fidelity digital recording equipment, which he has used to make some custom nature CDs. These are as good as (or better) than anything you can buy in the store.
Please note these CDs are not just a few seconds of audio repeated over and over like commercial CDs and sound soothers. Samples taken are much longer to allow for a more natural sound.
